Commercial Flood Protection
Protect Your Properties. Prepare for Tomorrow.
AET provides Commercial Flood Protection Assessment services to building/property owners across Canada with the goal of helping building/property owners reduce their risk of basement flooding and reduce damage in the event of a flood.
The Commercial Flood Protection Program was developed by AET as a companion program to the Home Flood Protection Program which was developed by the Intact Centre on Climate Adaptation at the University of Waterloo, and which AET has exclusively delivered since its launch in 2017.
Through the completion of a Commercial Flood Protection Assessment AETs professionals can help property and building owners protect their investment(s) and tenants, while also building climate resilience. Insurance industry experts cite floods and wildfires as the top causes of property damage and loss, with floods causing Canadian property owners over $1 billion in losses every year.
The Commercial Flood Protection Program aims to empower property/building owners to make changes to protect their assets through educating them about their current flood risk and concrete strategies to reduce this risk.
There are two types of Commercial Flood Protection Assessments: On-site and Remote. The on-site assessment is the standard type offered, however the remote assessment is available to any property/building owner who wishes, and might be preferable in some cases.
