AET Group Inc. Selected as One of Canada’s Top Small & Medium Employers for 2021

April 6, 2021

We are honoured to announce that AET was selected as one of Canada’s Top Small & Medium Employers for 2021. Now in its 8th year, Canada’s Top Small & Medium Employers is an editorial competition that recognizes the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that offer the nation’s best workplaces and forward-thinking human resources policies.

Employers are evaluated by the editors at Canada’s Top 100 Employers using the same criteria as the Top 100 competition:

  • Physical Workplace
  • Work Atmosphere & Social
  • Health, Financial & Family Benefits
  • Vacation & Time Off
  • Employee Communications
  • Performance Management
  • Training & Skills Development
  • Community Involvement

“These companies have proven to be extremely agile,” says Richard Yerema, Managing Editor of the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project. “Not only were they able to transition employees to working from home right out of the gate, but many already had policies in place that allowed for flexible work. It was simply a matter of extending existing benefits, such as home office allowances and internet subsidies, to make the full transition.”

“This year’s winners provide important benefits that help employees find peace of mind during this time,” adds Kristina Leung, Senior Editor of the project. “Nearly 80 per cent offer paid sick days, 65 per cent provide financial support to make mental health services more accessible, and over 50 per cent enable employees to personalize levels of health benefits coverage through health and wellness spending accounts.”

Our people are our biggest asset, and the well-being of our employees has been the focus of our attention over the past year. AET was selected as one of Canada’s Top Small & Medium Employers for 2021 for our commitment to making AET a great place to work through our telecommuting and flex-hours work program, volunteering program, tuition and professional development programs, performance recognition, and extensive benefit plan that includes a retirement and deferred profit-sharing plan, health spending account, and long-term disability plan.  To read more about the reasons why AET was selected, visit the Top Employers website here: https://content.eluta.ca/top-employer-aet-group

“We are very proud and honoured to be selected as one of Canada’s Top Small & Medium Employers.  This recognition reaffirms the importance we place on our employees,” said Managing Director & CEO, Scott Freiburger. “We value our people and have committed to a work culture and environment that supports diversity, growth, health and well-being, especially in this new reality of work – during a time of unprecedented challenges and ever changing environment as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
