AET Group Inc. Becomes Certified Ontario Living Wage Employer

July 9, 2021

KITCHENER, ON – The Ontario Living Wage Network (OLWN) has certified AET Group Inc. as a living wage employer with all employees earning at least $16.35 per hour.

AET Group was founded twenty-three years ago as a solid waste management consulting and auditing company. We have since grown into a multi-disciplinary environmental consulting, auditing, and scientific services company. “Paying at least a living wage helps ease some of the financial burden that so many people face, while improving the social, physical, and mental health of those now earning a living wage. By becoming a living wage employer, we are taking a stand to ensure our employees can make ends meet,” says Scott Freiburger, Managing Director & CEO.

One of AET’s core values that led us to becoming a Living Wage Employer is Excellence. We dedicate ourselves to pursuing and empowering the exceptional and extraordinary.  We are passionate, relentless, and always strive for excellence and the highest standard in everything we do to provide unparalleled support to our employees and superior services to our clients and our community.  As a company that is committed to keeping our employees positive and empowered, we have committed to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 8 – Promote sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all; and Sustainable Development Goal 1 – End Poverty.  To support these Sustainable Development Goals, AET has a target of 100% employees paid a living wage by 2022.  We are proud to say that we have met that target ahead of schedule and pay our current employees anywhere from 16.5% to 125% more than the living wage.
