AET Group Inc. Awarded the Environment & Sustainability Award by the GKWCC

The Annual Business Excellence Awards Gala is the Greater Kitchener Waterloo Chamber of Commerce’s premier event “It is an honour to be recognized by the Greater Kitchener Waterloo Chamber of Commerce with this Environment and Sustainability Award” says Scott Freiburger, Managing Director and CEO of AET Group. “Of course, this award would not have been possible without the shared vision and dedication of our sustainability team and support from our amazing staff.”
Last night hundreds of members, both in-person and virtual, attended the gala to celebrate business excellence and the many significant accomplishments organizations of every size have made over the past year. The Environment & Sustainability Award is awarded based on the following criteria:
- Made an outstanding commitment to sustainable development
- Self-initiated environmental actions and programs beyond legislative requirements
- Found energy or waste efficiencies
- Provided environmental stewardship, education, or innovation in the past year
“Our climb of Mount Sustainability doesn’t stop here,” says Scott Freiburger. “I’m excited for what the future will bring for AET. With renewed commitments and investments into a sustainable future including additional solar panels and EV charging stations at our head office in Kitchener, a commitment to net zero carbon emission across all our operations by 2030, and our commitment to plant 30,000 trees by 2030.”
Since its inception in 1998, AET has always been dedicated to sustainability. We set an example for our clients by not only promoting sustainability practices, but by adopting such sustainability practices within our own day-to-day operations.
The Greater Kitchener Waterloo Chamber of Commerce is a business association of economic development champions.
