Certified B Corporation
In Fall 2019, AET became a Certified B Corporation, which is a voluntary certification that recognizes businesses that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose. The prestigious designation reinforces AET’s commitment to higher standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.
In October 2023, AET celebrated achieving its B Corp recertification. Determined by B Corp, the minimum score to achieve certification is 80/200. In 2019, AET’s verified score was 97.6. In 2023, AET’s score was re-evaluated and verified at 133.2, which is testament to the strong emphasis AET places on their people, environment, customers, and the communities with whom they interact.
AET’s Sustainability Team was instrumental in guiding the company through the rigorous certification process, and implemented many of the initiatives that helped the company reach this goal.
