Moffat Creek Trunk Sanitary Sewer Environmental Monitoring

Environmental site inspections were conducted as part of the environmental requirements for the Moffat Creek Trunk Sanitary Sewer construction project. The project has a very high environmental sensitivity due to the final alignment of the sanitary sewer which was required to pass within, over and under the creek valley which also contained provincially significant wetlands. The inspections were undertaken to provide quality assurance that environmental requirements are properly implemented and that adverse impacts to the natural environment during construction are prevented, minimized or effectively remediated. Site occurrences and recommendations for corrective action are documented and reported to the site supervisor and project team following each site inspection.
