ISO 14001 Gap Assessment

An ISO 14001 EMS Gap Assessment was conducted for Kinectrics in Teeswater, Ontario to assess conformance of Kinectric’s current policies, procedures, activities and processes to the ISO 14001 EMS Standard. An audit checklist was developed which compared the company’s documentation to each element of the ISO 14001 Standard to determine conformance. This audit also included a review of all supporting records and procedures throughout other management systems in operation (i.e., Quality) as well as interviews with applicable personnel. A report was generated which outlined where resources were needed to achieve conformance to the Standard as well as where the company was already achieving the ISO 14001 requirements.
