COVID-19 Communication Update on Responsible Business Measures at AET Group
At AET, like the rest of the world, we have been tracking the spread of COVID-19 and watching as it gets closer to each of our office’s week by week. We are all hearing a lot about COVID-19 (Coronavirus) in the media, which creates questions and uncertainty, particularly in light of new information surfacing daily, and even hourly.
The Leadership Team at AET is monitoring this situation closely including the recommendations of medical experts and industry best practices. It is my hope that the information provided here offers assurance that we are committed to the health and safety of our employees, our clients and the community.
As new information is provided, we will be making appropriate proactive and practical decisions for our organization. At the same time, it is important that we act prudently and sensibly while following the guidelines from Health Canada, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and local authorities to maintain that safety. We’ll continue to evaluate the spread of COVID-19 and provide specific guidance as conditions change.
Each area of our operations has been under review and out of that effort, we have introduced an extensive set of measures to mitigate any potential risk to the delivery of services to our clients. Effective immediately, we are instituting the following:
- Significant restrictions have been imposed on all non-essential business travel outside Canada and face-to-face meetings with both clients and employees. All of our staff are being encouraged to use teleconferencing or video conferencing wherever possible.
- While the AET offices will remain open for business, only essential services will be working onsite. The office will not be open to visitors.
- Our IT infrastructure and teleworking policy allow for employees to work seamlessly from home in the event an outbreak would require a temporary office closure.
- Increased and enhanced cleaning of our office locations.
We all have a responsibility to help #FlattenTheCurve to slow the spread of COVID-19 cases so our healthcare and response systems don’t get overwhelmed. As always, we remain committed to servicing your projects. Thank you for your continued support and trust in AET.
Kind Regards,
Scott Freiburger
