2020 Sustainability Challenge

September 1, 2020

Each year, AET gives employees an opportunity to show their passion for the environment in a month-long Sustainability Challenge. AET’s 5th annual Sustainability Challenge was run remotely throughout the month of August and by staying home, our employees were able to save our health AND the planet at the same time.

Our employees carpooled, worked by natural light, saved water by eating vegetarian meals, supported local businesses, shopped at farmers’ markets, and showcased how simple product changes and mindful behaviour can help make a positive impact on our environment. In the end, Kerri came out on top completing a total of 21 sustainable actions throughout the month and will be enjoying an exciting outdoor adventure with her $350 gift card to EcoAdventures!

The Sustainability Team also held a very successful litter clean up event in Kitchener at the Homer Watson Park Trail and received praise from several happy trail-users.

  • Three trash bags and trash collecting tools.

We appreciate all our employees who participated in the challenge and who continue to promote a cleaner environment and healthier planet. You can follow along with all the action by searching #aetsustychallenge on Twitter.
