Currently in the 12th year of running, Canada’s Greenest Employers is an editorial competition that recognizes employers that lead the nation in creating a culture of environmental awareness. Employers are evaluated using four main criteria, including the following:

  1.  Unique environmental initiatives or programs developed
  2.  Whether they have been successful reducing their own environmental footprint
  3.  Whether their employees are involved in these programs and contribute unique skills
  4.  Whether their environmental initiatives have become linked to the employer’s public identity.

 

AET was selected as one of Canada’s Greenest Employers 2019 based on our internal green initiatives, including our Sustainable Transportation Program, Hand Drying Program, Rain Garden and Bioswale Installation, Project Plant a Tree, Telecommuting Policy, Fleet Upgrade Commitment, our recent Green Build Addition and Renovation, and our participation in the Regional Carbon Initiative.

Sustainability is infused in every part of our corporate culture; from executive leadership to the passion of our staff.  Recognition as one of Canada’s Greenest Employers 2019 is a huge accomplishment, and something we strive towards through our daily operations. We see this recognition as affirmation that our efforts are not going unnoticed and we will use this encouragement to work towards further green developments. As always, we are excited to continue working towards a better tomorrow!
