AET’s Project Plant a Tree Supports Laurier University With Their Tree Planting Campaign

Take a minute and try to imagine your home, neighborhood, or community without any trees. What would that look like to you? Do you think you’d feel the same, both physically and mentally? What about the birds and squirrels – do you think you’d be able to spot animals as easily?
Trees are amazing organisms that provide an abundance of benefits.*
Simply put, trees help to:
- clean the air we breath and reduce pollution,
- provide a habitat to animals and insects,
- prevent soil erosion and help manage rain runoff,
- break up urban “heat islands” by releasing water vapor,
- increase property value,
- combat climate change, and
- even reduce crime rates!
Project Plant a Tree Program
Through AET’s Project Plant a Tree Program, AET is proud to support local organizations that also believe in the power of trees and nature. We are a company that is committed to greening the environment and giving back wherever we can.
Just in time for the Holidays
In December of 2016, AET helped the Laurier University HAWKstarter campaign reach their goal of raising at least $5000 to purchase trees for their campus in Waterloo, Ontario. Students from the campaign were working with Tree Canada through their Partners in Planting Program to plant at least one hundred trees on campus or in their community. We are proud to announce that AET has provided 50 trees through our Project Plant a Tree Program. The group plans on planting a variety of species in Spring 2017 and we can’t wait to experience the forest it will become some day!
